Open roles
We have no formally open positions right now. That will change as the platform grows. In the meantime we do read speculative applications, and we keep good ones on file.
Where we expect to need people first
Field and market operations
The people who physically verify farms and stalls, onboard traders at Ketu and Mile 12, and keep sellers active. This is the hardest and most important work we do, and it cannot be done from a desk.
Customer and seller support
Resolving disputes fairly and quickly, in the languages our users actually speak. Requires judgement, not scripts.
Engineering
PHP, MySQL and vanilla JavaScript today. Deliberately simple, deliberately deployable anywhere. Pragmatists welcome.
Partnerships
Cooperatives, market associations, logistics and input suppliers. Relationship work in a sector where relationships are everything.
What working here is like
- Small team, wide responsibilities, little hierarchy to hide behind.
- Lagos-based with real field work — this is not a fully remote business.
- The users are farmers and traders whose income depends on the platform working. That is motivating and it is also a responsibility.
- We are early, which means uncertainty as well as opportunity. Worth knowing before you apply.

Send your CV and a short note to careers@cityfarms.ng, saying which area interests you and what you would want to work on. Tell us something specific about Nigerian agriculture or commerce that you think most people get wrong — that is more useful to us than a covering letter.
